The WashBoardContest.org organization is offering a scholarship of up to $3000.  All you need to do is create a video of 60 seconds or less with up to 2 other students in the video.  You can qualify if you are a senior residing in the State of Washington who will be enrolled at least part-time at an accredited university or college (2 or 4 year) during the 2012-2013 academic year.  Check out their website at www.thewashboardcontest.org for more information and what needs to be included in your 60 second video.  
      
Abbott and Fenner Scholarship:  These are 2 $1,000 scholarships available to juniors and seniors (minimum 16 years old) who write a 500 to 1,000 word essay on the topic, "What was the most difficult time in your life and why?  How did your perspective on life change as a result of this difficulty?"  Essay submissions must be sent by email to:  scholarships@abbottandfenner.com by June 15.  For more information see their website:  http://www.abbottandfenner.com/scholarship.htm
 
Ms. EcEneaney has dropped of Access Cards for students to check out 2 websites.  WOIS is an organization that researches and distributes information about Washington careers, schools, and training programs.  Check out their website at www.wois.org and use the site key:  UXB460.  Career Cruising is an online career guidance planning system.  You can find a career, explore education and training options there.  Visit their website at www.careercruising,com .

College Im Going:  www.college.gov.  Inspiration for students to achieve their college dreams why go, what to do, how to pay.
The College Board:  www.collegeboard.org.  The College Board site offers advice on student loans.  The web site also provides career search information, online SAT registration, college search information, a financial aid calculator, and college savings advice.  Individuals can also order College Board publications from the web site.
CollegeNet:  http://www.collegenet.com.  CollegeNet allows borrowers to search its database for information on 4 year schools, community and technical colleges.  If the borrower wants to attend college in a particular state, the site allows a search performance by state map.
National Association for College Admission Counseling:  http://www.nacacnet.org.  This site offers information about your rights in the admission process, recommended courses, factors in admission decision and information about colleges.
Princeton Review:  www.princetonreview.com.  This site provides results of a survey in which college students rate the schools they are attending.  Individuals can also receive guidance on going to college, choosing a career, and access to Princeton publications on college and financial aid choices.
Washington Community and Technical Colleges:  www.checkoutcollege.com.  Information on career exploration, finding a college and program at Washington community and technical colleges.
