Arbor Village
Arbor Village is a retirement home located on the corner of 240th and 116th in Kent. At Arbor Village, students bus tables in the dining room, set tables, and vacuum. TOP students are asked to dress semi-casual, wearing khakis and collared shirts or sweaters. Students travel to and from Arbor Village using a District shuttle bus.
Grocery Outlet
Students work at the Grocery Outlet located at 104th and 240th in Kent. Students front shelves, recycle cardboard, sweep, clean the break room, and return/organize shopping carts. TOP students are asked to dress in jeans and shirts without holes. Students use Metro to travel to and from work at Grocery Outlet.
Kent Food Bank & Kent Bowl
Students split their work week between the Kent Food Bank and Kent Bowl. At the Kent Food Bank, TOP students organize and hang clothing, deliver food to the bank and stock food supplies. At Kent Bowl, students keep the grounds clean and disinfect tables and chairs. There is no dress code for either site. Students use TOP vehicles to get to and from work sites.
Kent Library & Family Fun Center
Students split their work week between the Kent Library in downtown Kent and the Family Fun Center in Tukwila. At the Kent Library, students disinfect books, dust shelves and clean the grounds. At Family Fun Center, students disinfect the gaming machines, clean tables and vacuum. Family Fun Center provides lunch for our students. TOP students are asked to dress semi-casual, wearing khakis and collared shirts or sweaters, at the Kent Library. At Family Fun Center, black or tan slacks and a shirt are provided. Students travel to and from work sites using a District shuttle bus and/or Metro.
Kent PTA Clothing Bank
The Kent PTA Clothing Bank is a district site located at the Kent Phoenix Academy. At the Clothing Bank students pick-up donations, wash clothes, put clothes on hangers and organize the clothes on racks. There is no dress code at the Clothing Bank. Students walk to and from work.
Kent School District & The Outreach Program (TOP)
At the Kent School District's Administration Center, students sort and deliver mail, prepare risk management folders and shred papers. TOP students are asked to dress semi-casual, wearing khakis and collared shirts or sweaters. Students travel to and from work using a District shuttle bus. At The Outreach Program main building, students run the front desk and reception area. Students enter attendance, complete copy orders, stock paper, file, and answer phones. There is no dress code and no travel required for to work at TOP.
Rite Aid
Students work at the Panther Lake Rite Aid store to stock front shelves, shuck shoes, do go-backs and unpack freight. TOP students are asked to dress semi-casual, wearing khakis and collared shirts or sweaters. Students may use Metro to get to and from work sites.
Riverbend Golf Course
At the Riverbend Golf Course, TOP students learn to drive golf carts, clean and stock carts, clean the shoe area, and stock wood for the pizza oven. The golf course supplies students with a shirt, jacket and hat. Students travel to and from the site using a TOP vehicle.
SalonWorks
At SalonWorks in Kent, students do laundry, fold towels, disinfect tanning beds, and perform light cleaning. TOP students are asked to dress semi-casual, wearing khakis and collared shirts or sweaters. Students travel to and from work using a TOP vehicle.
Science Materials Resource Center (SMRC)
SMRC is a Kent School District site located at Kent Phoenix Academy. At SMRC, students sort, organize and fill science kits used at District elementary schools. There is no dress code at SMRC. Students walk to and from work.
TJ Maxx
At TJ Maxx, students size clothing, unpack shipments, and do light cleaning. TOP students are asked to dress semi-casual, wearing khakis and collared shirts or sweaters. Students travel to and from work using a district shuttle bus.
