Kent School District & Green River College have a unique partnership that offers a second-plus chance to students who have dropped out or are at risk of dropping out of high school. Washington State law makes this possible under the provisions of ESSHB 1418, an Open Doors Youth Re-engagement Program.
iGrad will provide all instruction, tuition, and required academic skills assessments at no cost to the students.
Students can participate in one or more program options:
Kent School District Diploma
Washington State Diploma
High School Equivalency Certificate (GED®)
College certificate
Industry certificate
Two-year degree
Students who participate in the Kent School District diploma program must attend nine hours of class per week and can do the bulk of their classwork on the computer away from the classroom.
Please note during the remote/hybrid learning timeframe (April 19 through June 25, 2021) the in-person hours are reduced to 6.5 hours per week based on the student selected cohort group. View cohort group days and times.
