Smiling students

We invite you to be a part of an ongoing KSD Together committee, where your insights and input will help shape the future of bond and levy measures in the Kent School District. Our goal is to foster an environment of transparency and open communication. This committee will serve as a platform for sharing ideas, addressing concerns, and working together to develop strategies that support our commitment to equity, excellence, and community as we, together, successfully prepare all students for their futures.

We value the rich diversity of our community and actively encourage all families and community members to participate in our schools. We believe that embracing different perspectives and cultures enhances the educational experience for everyone and strengthens our community.

This committee will commit to:

  • Keep students and their needs as its focus.

  • Engage in collaborative discussions and problem-solving sessions.

  • Provide valuable input on future bond and levy measures.

  • Learn about district processes directly from Kent School District staff.

  • Ask questions and receive responses from staff members.

Committee members will be chosen through an application, selection, and lottery process to create a diverse demographic representation of our KSD community. Once the diversity demographic expectation is met, names will be randomly drawn for the remaining committee members. If there are additional individuals still interested in joining this committee, they will be asked to remain available to fill vacancies should a committee member resign or is no longer available to serve. Any vacancies will be filled by drawing a name from the remaining interested individuals.
