Due to the districtwide closure for power outages in November, the 2024-2025 student calendar has been updated. The optional snow days previously planned for March, April, and May are now regular school days. www.kent.k12.wa.us/calendar

Tomorrow, 11.26.24, we will release at 11:55am and welcome families and students for Teacher Conferences and the CHMS Bookfair: 1:00pm-4:00pm and 5:00pm-7:00pm *There will be a dinner break from 4:00pm-5:00pm, please plan accordingly. Teachers will be available in arena style seating., no appointment necessary.

All Kent School District Schools and the administration campus are open and operating on normal schedules Monday, November 25. Buses are on normal routes at the regularly scheduled pick-up times.


Birch Creek Report Card Delivery will be on December 4th. Staff will be delivering report cards to student’s homes in Birch Creek from 5:30PM-7:00PM. This is an annual event where Cedar Heights and Kentlake staff partner to deliver report cards to student’s homes and answer any questions families may have. Schools Closed Friday, November 22, Administration Campus Open. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to prioritize the safety of our students and staff in the aftermath of this severe windstorm. We are working diligently with Puget Sound Energy (PSE) to reopen our schools. Currently, there are 17 schools without power and three with unsafe conditions. PSE estimates that power will be restored by Saturday, November 23. Power has been restored at the administration campus. https://www.kent.k12.wa.us/article/1885129


All schools and administration campus will be closed, Thursday, Nov. 21. Thank you for your patience as we continue to work to open our schools. As of 6:30 p.m. today, 20 schools and the administration campus are without power caused by the severe windstorm. There are an additional seven schools with power that have unsafe trees or damaged caused by trees that still need to be addressed. https://www.kent.k12.wa.us/article/1885129

CHMS Teacher Conferences: November 26th, 1-4 and 5-7. Students will be released at 11:55am.
Families will pick up their students SLC: Academic Reflection Form as they enter CHMS.
Teachers will be available in an arena format; student attendance is preferred but optional.
