All Kent School District Schools and the administration campus are open and operating on normal schedules Monday, November 25. Buses are on normal routes at the regularly scheduled pick-up times.
Birch Creek Report Card Delivery will be on December 4th. Staff will be delivering report cards to student’s homes in Birch Creek from 5:30PM-7:00PM. This is an annual event where Cedar Heights and Kentlake staff partner to deliver report cards to student’s homes and answer any questions families may have. Schools Closed Friday, November 22, Administration Campus Open. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to prioritize the safety of our students and staff in the aftermath of this severe windstorm. We are working diligently with Puget Sound Energy (PSE) to reopen our schools. Currently, there are 17 schools without power and three with unsafe conditions. All schools and administration campus will be closed, Thursday, Nov. 21. Thank you for your patience as we continue to work to open our schools. As of 6:30 p.m. today, 20 schools and the administration campus are without power caused by the severe windstorm. Each Advisory we will introduce a CharacterDare to be carried out over the next two weeks.
Staff will be on the lookout for students participating in CharacterDares.
They will be handing out "Pawsitive" slips to students who participate.
This week our CharacterDare is about meeting new people and creating a larger CHMS community, specifically to "Introduce someone you know to someone they don't".
This can be students or staff; have an awesome friend you think would like another friend? How about your favorite staff member? Introduce some of your favorite people to each other. Encourage your friends to participate. Together we can make an awesome and supportive community.
