The One-to-One Device Handbook (PDF) outlines our commitment to support learning with the use of electronic resources and the partnership with students and families to make this program successful.
The Kent School District will be reinstating a technology fines policy for our one-to-one device program for the 2024-2025 school year. With Board Policy 3520, fines will be imposed for technology devices that are lost or purposefully damaged.
All families must complete the Device Agreement form online for each student in their household at least once while enrolled in Kent School District (KSD). District devices cannot go home with students until this form is completed.
By signing the form, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the terms of this agreement and relevant policies.
Ownership: KSD retains ownership of the equipment at all times. Your right to possess and use the equipment is contingent upon fully following the agreement.
Loss, Theft or Damage: Report any incidents immediately. You may be responsible for replacement or repair costs.
Technology Device Assurance Plan: An optional plan is available to lessen the burden of costs for lost or damaged equipment.
Privacy & Data Access: KSD ensures secure data systems and student privacy following FERPA, COPPA, and CIPA guidelines.
Responsible Use: Follow KSD’s Electronic Resources Policy 2022, Procedure 2022P, and the One-to-One Device Handbook (PDF).
