Kent School District offers full-day kindergarten programs at all elementary schools. Research indicates that students who attend kindergarten full-time experience greater academic growth and are better equipped to meet the challenges of future grade levels.
Kindergarten enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year opens in January 2025.

If your child will turn five (5) years old between September 1 and October 31, 2025, learn more about the kindergarten early entry process.
For the 2025-2026 school year, kindergarten begins on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
In the Kent School District, we dedicate the first three days of the school year to building connections between families and teachers as part of WaKIDS. On August 27, 28, or 29, you will have a 20-30 minute appointment to meet with the teacher. Your school will reach out to you with more details and to schedule your appointment.
